The title of this book is gripping. The premise is genius. I read the first hundred fifty pages of this book in one sitting, which is something I rarely do. Cinderella may be dead, but her story certainly is not. I ate this reimagined fairytale up, and I can’t help continuing to recommend it. CinderellaContinue reading “Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron REVIEW”

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong REVIEW
Romeo and Juliet is probably Shakespeare’s most popular play. It has been remade, referenced, and adapted so many times. But Chloe Gong has a fun, fresh, and feisty angle to look at the story that really adds to the original idea. This book is also a great YA series opener that does not feel like it is forcing a sequel setup and did not bore me or make me mad at tropes!
The Princess Knight by G.A. Aiken REVIEW
Thank you Bookish First and Kensington Books for this ARC! This sister drama wrapped up in a paranormal romance novel is a violent delight. The political conflict is rich and complicated. However, this book has a ton of characters that bog it down when it could use some breath. Gemma does not want to beContinue reading “The Princess Knight by G.A. Aiken REVIEW”
Atomic Love by Jennie Fields review
I am going to be honest and say that Atomic Love is not what I expected. I went in expecting historical drama, and what I got was historical romance. In 1950’s Chicago, women have been asked to leave the ‘men’s’ workplaces and go back to ‘women’s work.’ Rosalind was one of these women, but forContinue reading “Atomic Love by Jennie Fields review”
One To Watch by Kate Stayman London Review
Romance is starting to become a regular genre for me, and this was fun to read. I read it very quickly, because I kept speeding by things that bug me about how the main character talks about why she thinks men don’t like her or it became too much like the real Bachelorette. I wantContinue reading “One To Watch by Kate Stayman London Review”
Beach Read by Emily Henry REVIEW
I found the title of this book to be a bit misleading. The characters do not read on a beach. The setting is Michigan! However, this book would be perfect to read at the beach. But I was too impatient to wait to go to the beach, so I gobbled this up like pasta saladContinue reading “Beach Read by Emily Henry REVIEW”
The Sin in the Steel by Ryan Van Loan REVIEW
Buc and Eld are too much fun as protagonists. Buc is an old 17: smart, skilled, and brave. Eld is an even older 19: polite, strong, and mysterious. Together, they are a dynamic duo of pirate fighting geniuses. The back of the book describes Buc as a young, female Sherlock, and she certainly has someContinue reading “The Sin in the Steel by Ryan Van Loan REVIEW”
Chaos Reigning by Jessie Mihalik REVIEW
Chaos Reigning is the third and final book in the Consortium Rebellion Trilogy, a series of romance books that take place in space. I wish there were more! I love that the characters in each book do more than have a romance plot, but have real stakes and issues that have nothing to do withContinue reading “Chaos Reigning by Jessie Mihalik REVIEW”

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren Review
On today’s episode of bookstagram made me do it, I listened to the enemies to lovers rom-com The Unhoneymooners in my car. They are right: it is the perfect book to listen to in the deep of winter in your parka, clutching your steering wheel in mittens on the way home from work in theContinue reading “The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren Review”
