⭐Review Scale in Stars⭐
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5: These books move me and make a lasting mark on me. They floor me; they shock me. These books have themes that outlast their amazing characters and enthralling plot. They have everything.
⭐⭐⭐⭐/5: These books are really good. They have well rounded characters, engaging plots and a good message. Usually one of the three is missing, or the prose is a little weak. What keeps this from being 5 is that it just is not a life altering read. If I genuinely enjoyed reading it, there’s a good chance it lands here.
⭐⭐⭐/5: These books are fine. They have strong aspects, like good characters or good prose. Usually I just don’t really like it. Either it is cliché, unsurprising, or missing something to make it truly great. Or it is really good, and I see why people like it, but it isn’t for me.
⭐⭐/5: This is when things get bad. Either the characters are bad, the plot is contrived, or the ending makes me angry and ruined the whole thing. It could also be a combination. I would not recommend.
⭐/5: I have yet to give this out. This is for a book so bad that I am mad at it.
❤ Romantic Subplot Review Scale ❤
❤❤❤❤❤/5: This is the perfect love story. It doesn’t overtake the plot, isn’t cliché or forced, and is genuinely shipper worthy.
❤❤❤❤/5: This is good, but probably predictable or ruined by something like real life (that is mostly in historical fiction).
❤❤❤/5: It’s there but not a good time. It’s either bad awkward, forced, or ruins the plot.
❤❤/5: The romance is either nonexistent or non-romantic. Basically a bummer.
❤/5: There is some stuff hinted at but nothing happens. Also a bummer.
0/5: No romantic ideas at all. Why did I even read this?
